Albrook was a US military base of 311 hectares, constructed in 1922 in Balboa, in honor of its first commander Frank Albrook, recive the name of Albrook Field in 1924.
Here was located the first commercial airport of the old Canal Zone between 1924 and 1961.
Also, was used as a military base for combat airplanes and between 1943 and 1989 host the "Academia Interamericana de las Fuerzas Aéreas", where more or less 26.000 latin american pilots receive their training. In the last few years was located the national airport "Marcos A. Gelabert".
Albrook Inn located in Los Geranios street, in a beautiful hill in the center of the residential area, a exclusive area, with aesy access and very secure, surrounded by nature, at 3 minutes from the national airport "Marcos A. Gelabert", the building of the hotel was the Old Guest House for single officers.
